Cost of Living Advice
Merging legacy City and St George's resources
As we bring together resources for Clerkenwell & Moorgate (legacy City) and Tooting (legacy St George’s) students, some content may be specific to one campus and not the other. For the most relevant information, try using specific keywords or exploring content related to your department. If you need help, our support teams are available to guide you.
Clerkenwell & Moorgate students can use Support@City
Tooting students can contact studentlifecentre@sgul.ac.uk.
For Clerkenwell and Moorgate students
To reduce the impact of the Cost of Living crisis the University has launched a dedicated Hub detailing all the support available to students.
If you would like to speak to anyone about how the cost of living crisis is impacting you, please do reach out the University's Student Advisors via Support@City, for confidential conversations and to help you find the right support.
For Tooting Campus Students
Welcome to the Cost of Living Hub
We know that this may be a worrying time for our students and their families. We're here to help.
As well as the information on these pages, students are always welcome to come speak to the Student Life Centre (Hunter Wing, Level 0) if they would like to discuss any matters in person.
Here you can find all the latest information, support and guidance available to City St George’s students affected by the rising cost of living.
Due to extensive upgrade and refurbishment work taking place, some the below spaces in Hunter Wing are currently out of use, including our Students’ Union and bar. Please check your emails for details and look out for further updates via student communications, as we will be in touch as soon as these spaces become available.

Our courses require intensive full-time study and many incorporate placements. Please take this into account when you are calculating how many hours you will be able to work during term time. If you are studying Medicine, remember that the holiday periods are reduced during the clinical years of the course.
