City St George's Employability Award

The City St George's Employability Award is a certificate (signed by the University President and the Director of Careers and Employability) and digital badge that recognises how you have developed our Graduate Attributes: the transferable skills employers value.

The Gold Award certificate

Benefits:

  • Develop a handy record of all the activities you’ve participated in through your time at City St George’s
  • Have a list of ready-to-go examples of how you have developed the skills that employers want – useful in your preparation for job applications
  • Gain a digital badge you can display to potential employers on LinkedIn
  • Have  your achievement recognised in the Graduation brochure and on our Wall of Fame

Levels

There are three levels of award: Bronze, Silver and Gold

To earn Bronze

You will demonstrate a rounded understanding of at least five of the core skills that employers are looking for.

To earn Silver

You will demonstrate having experience of using at least five of the core skills that employers are looking for.

To earn Gold

You will demonstrate having developed several skills through a range of experiences and you will have demonstrated initiative, leadership and advanced use of skills through at least one of them.

How to gain the award

  1. Record Experiences on the Graduate Attributes Dashboard
  2. Claim skills by recording reflections against these experiences
  3. Submit three skills reflections

When should I complete it by?

If you complete the application by 31 May, we process all submissions over the Summer and you can expect to hear back from us by early September at the latest.

We may contact you with feedback if we feel you have not evidenced the skills development required for the level of award you are aiming for.
