Submitting an application for the City St George's Employability Award
Once you have recorded your experiences, claimed skills and added your reflections, you are ready to submit an application for the City St George's Employability Award.

Record your experiences
Click the link to Submit 'The City St George's Employability Award Evidence Submission - Graduate Attributes'
This form asks you to identify skills you developed and rate how much you developed them.
- Click the check box next to the Graduate Attribute to open up a list of the relevant skills for that attribute
- Select a skill you would like to submit (in this example, we have selected, 'Having a growth mindset')
- Select the activity from the drop-down menu - pre-populated with any experiences you have already recorded
- Select the appropriate level - Explore, Experience or Expertise.
Skill Levels
Explore
Beginner level - demonstrate an understanding of how this skill would be used in your sector / role of choice. You might gain this level of skill through attending a one-off event. You need a minimum of five skills at Explore to earn Bronze.
Experience
Intermediate level - you have at least one example of using this skill through an activity you have participated in. Usually you would have had to spent several hours using this skill. You need a minimum of five skills at Experience to earn Silver.
Expertise
Advanced level - you have at least one example of using this skill through an activity you have demonstrated a sustained commitment to, or taken an active leadership role or created a new activity that was not happening before. You need a minimum of two skills at Expertise to earn Gold.
When you've completed this process for each skill you want to submit, scroll to the bottom of the form.
Select the Overall Award Level you think you achieved based on the listed criteria. You can see how many skills you've listed at each level.
Click 'Update'

This is a good time to review the STAR / CARL method.
Submit your top three skills reflections
Click Submit 'Employability Award Reflection'
- Submit three reflections for the skills you have developed to the highest level - these should be around 250 words each.
- Provide details for a referee who can verify one of your examples
- Click 'Submit'
