Two new modules have been launched to help support all students to feel confident and empowered when faced with unacceptable behaviour.

Bystander Intervention and Consent for Students modules are now available on Moodle for students based at Clerkenwell and Moorgate campuses, and on Canvas for students based at Tooting.

Clerkenwell and Moorgate students: Access your Bystander Intervention and Consent training on Moodle

Tooting students: Access your Bystander Intervention and Consent training on Canvas

Designed by experts and incorporating the experiences of young people, these modules will:

  • Empower and upskill you about enthusiastic consent to have happy, healthy and fulfilling relationships
  • Empower you to recognise and safely intervene in situations of harassment or abuse, building a culture where stepping in is the norm
  • Provide you with guidance about where you can access help if you need it.

Both modules can be completed at once, one after the other, or you can save your progress as you go and complete them in stages. Each module will take around 30 minutes to complete.

To access the modules, you will need to have activated your University IT account as part of your registration for this academic year. When prompted to sign in, please use your @city.ac.uk email address (for Clerkenwell and Moorgate campus students), or @sgul.ac.uk email address (for Tooting campus students).

City St George’s is committed to creating a safe, respectful and inclusive environment where you can thrive in your studies and work. These modules will give you skills you can use in everyday life and help everyone make a difference by feeling equipped to navigate difficult situations.

A dedicated webpage on the main University website is available where you can find all the information, policies and procedures relating to misconduct, harassment and sexual misconduct, in one place.
