Download the new SEAtS app and stay on top of your attendance, anytime, from anywhere.

A new app is available to help you stay on top of your academic commitments by viewing your personalised timetable, tracking the number of classes you have attended, and submitting requests for authorised absences.
The SEAtS app is currently available to all undergraduate students at Clerkenwell and Moorgate campuses, and postgraduate students within the School of Policy & Global Affairs and The City Law School, with aims of rolling it out to Tooting campus in the future.
Developed in response to student feedback for more ways to see their attendance, here is everything you need to know to download and use the app.
What can I do on the SEAtS app and where do I download it from?
Through the SEAtS app, you will be able to:
- View your personalised timetable, so you can see all your classes, anytime, from anywhere
- Track your attendance so you can make sure you are attending everything you need to
- Submit and track authorised absence requests using the ‘Requests’ section of the app
Download the app from the Apple App store or on the Google Playstore
To log into the app, you will need to use your legacy University email address (firstname.lastname@city.ac.uk) and password.
When logging in for the first time, you will be prompted to verify your account using Multi-Factor Authentication. Please refer to our Multi-Factor Authentication set-up guide on ServiceNow for further guidance.
What settings do I need to use?
When you download the app, make sure you apply the following settings so that you can use all the features on offer:
- Enable Bluetooth and location
- Wi-Fi is turned on whilst you’re using the app. Across our campuses, we have free Wi-Fi available via Eduroam
- Allow notifications and set a reminder to 15-minutes (recommended) to help you get to class on time
- Turn on ‘Attendance % to includes optional classes’ to make sure that your attendance is tracked correctly.
What happens if I’m having issues with my timetable or the app isn’t working?
If you’re having issues with your timetable or the app, please contact the IT Service Desk on +44 (0)20 7040 8181, or online through the IT Service Desk.
