Essential student training

Complete your essential training which is designed by experts, incorporates lived experiences and is endorsed by the Students' Union.

As part of our commitment to creating a friendly and welcoming environment where all members of City St George's community can thrive as their best selves, you are asked to complete our essential online training on Bystander InterventionConsent for Students, and Student Equity, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI).

Designed by experts, incorporating lived experiences and endorsed by the Students' Union, the aim of the training is to:

  • Empower you to recognise and safely intervene in situations of harassment or abuse, building a culture where stepping in becomes the norm.
  • Empower and educate you about enthusiastic consent to have happy, healthy and fulfilling relationships.
  • Help you recognise and address bias and discrimination in a university or wider setting.
  • Provide you with bespoke information and guidance about where you can access help if needed.

Hosted on our virtual learning environment, Moodle and Canvas, each training course will typically take around 30-60 minutes to complete. Courses are broken down into sections meaning you can complete this in stages and save your progress to return to later if needed.

To access each course, click on the links for your campus provided below, log into the virtual learning environment, and use the following corresponding enrolment key* (please note these are character sensitive):

*Undergraduate students at Tooting in years 1-3 will automatically be added to the training and will not need to use the enrolment keys.

  • Bystander Intervention enrolment key - bystander2025
  • Consent for Student enrolment key - consent2025
  • Student EDI enrolment key - EDI2025
