How to pay and payment methods
This page explains the different ways you can pay your tuition fees at City St George’s. It covers available payment methods, instalment plans, and where to get help if you have questions about your student account.
For Clerkenwell campus students
You will now make your payments to us via Flywire our Preferred Payment Partner – they are a globally recognised well trusted organisation that will offer multiple ways to pay your fees, they work with all the major banks globally and have the highest security accreditations as a merchant, if at any time you have any issues with the payment please contact Flywire directly.
Debit or Credit card payment
Most major debit and credit cards are accepted, Our Payment Partner can accept American Express in some currencies but not all currencies please choose an alternative way to pay if Amex is not listed with your chosen local currency – you can use our online payment facility to see if there are better and cheaper ways to pay your fees at https://epay.city.ac.uk you can also use our telephone payment line for card payments only by calling: +44 (0) 3300 889 571.
You will need to provide your student registration number, so please have this to hand before telephoning or going online.
Bank Transfers
If you are arranging a bank transfer, both domestic and international bank transfers can be completed via our epay link.
Cheque and Bank Draft
The University does not accept personal cheques, business cheques or bankers drafts as a form of payment for any fees. Please make a payment using an alternative method, either a card payment online, over the telephone or by bank transfer.
Cash
The University does not accept cash as form of payment for any fees. This includes cash being paid to the University directly and cash being paid in to the Universities bank account by a student or a third party.
Instead, please make a payment using an alternative payment method, either a card payment online, over the telephone or by bank transfer.
Tooting campus students
Online
You can make payments by credit/debit card or PayPal using ePay.
- If you are the student, go to the student invoice pathway. You will need your student ID (7 digits) and ‘our reference number’ quoted on the invoice.
- If you are a third party (parent or sponsor), go to the open pathway. You will need the student ID (7 digits) and student date of birth.
Bank transfer
Please include your name and student number as a reference when completing any transfer of money to St George’s. When you have made the payment, please email Accounts Receivable with details of the payment. The payment can then be allocated to your account.

Don’t forget to use your name and St George’s student number (7 digits) as a reference, and email Accounts Receivable to confirm the payment. If you fail to do this your money will be hard to identify and may not be allocated to the correct account.
International students
The easiest and preferred method of paying fees in euros or other international currency is through TransferMate Education. Step-by-step guide to paying your fees
Step 1 Check your invoice number.
Step 2 Visit the payment website and complete the brief registration form. Click ‘Yes’ to confirm you are ready to pay today and then select ‘Process transaction’.
Step 3 Transfer the funds to the advised bank account.
Step 4 Email edu@TransferMate.com with the receipt, a copy of your student passport, and your offer or invoice from City St George’s, University of London (Tooting).
Step 5 Once TransferMate receives your funds and required documents, they will transfer the funds to City St George’s and email you confirmation of payment.
