2023/24 exchange student, Vietnam
e patient as it takes some time to adjust. Explore, meet new people. Feeling anxious and stressed is perfectly normal. You can create value and grow as a person much faster and unexpectedly when being outside your comfort zone.
2023/24 exchange student, Austria
I loved the aspect of meeting many new people from all over the world. It is actually quite surreal when you are there as you don’t understand before you get there how many different people will be there. For example, I met a lovely girl from Australia, being on the other side of the planet. I did also really enjoy the courses themselves as I loved learning about business aspects at a more Asia/International level.
2024 summer school student, Singapore
My summer abroad in India was an invaluable experience that stretched me in ways I hadn’t anticipated. Through this experience, I have grown as an individual, gained practical skills relevant to my future career, and fostered a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity. I would highly recommend a similar experience to anyone looking to challenge themselves personally and professionally.
2024 Global Leadership Award student, India
My time in Vietnam was a life-changing experience. I left with new skills, unforgettable memories, and a deep appreciation for the country’s people and culture, I would 100% revisit the countries and cover other cities as well. If you feel nervous about spending your summer somewhere new, remember that it will be for your own benefit to step out of your comfort zone and experience new things. There isn’t a lot to worry about because the university organise things really well and give you a lot of information regarding that country you will visit.
2024 Global Leadership Award student, Vietnam
I feel I have achieved the goal of develop my communication skills and building relationships with people from different parts of the world. I was able to get to know a lot of people throughout my time in the summer school programme and its group project presentations and in class assignments have helped to improve my communication skills.
2024 summer school student, Hong Kong
This program gave me the opportunity to better understand some aspects that I am studying at university and to see them in practice. I believe this experience is fundamental for any student as it helps you understand how the world of work works and get a more concrete idea of them.
2024 Bayes summer internship student, Italy
If you have the opportunity to carry out research at an international location just do it! The rewards both academically and personally will be massive. But you need to be organised, flexible in your approach, respectful of foreign social and cultural needs, prepared to work hard and step outside your comfort zone.
