Academic skills Webinars

Find out about the study skills webinars offered to our students.

For Clerkenwell and Moorgate Campus students

The Academic Skills Team deliver a programme of study skills webinars during the autumn and the spring terms each year. Webinar topics covered include referencing, writing critically, note-taking, group assignments, presentation skills, time management, essay structure and much more.

These sessions will provide you with skills and resources to help you become an effective independent learner. All City St George's students are welcome.

You can come to one session or several; please browse the programme and choose the sessions that meet your needs, then register.

Materials (e.g. slides) for each session will be made available on the Academic Skills Team’s Moodle module a few days before the session and will be kept available for several months afterwards.

Your privacy during webinars

It isn’t possible to make you anonymous during an MS Teams webinar. If you feel unable to attend because of this, you can instead view a recorded version of each webinar afterwards.

All the meeting information within Teams is automatically deleted after 30 days, but until that time is up, your name and anything you write in the chat thread will be visible if someone visits the meeting after it has finished. The permanent recording of the session will not include the chat thread.

Merging City and St George’s Resources

As we bring together resources for City (Clerkenwell) and St George’s (Tooting) students, some content may be specific to one campus and not the other. For the most relevant information, try using specific keywords or exploring content related to your department. If you need help, our support teams are available to guide you.

Clerkenwell students can contact campus.news@citystgeorges.ac.uk
Tooting students can contact studentlifecentre@sgul.ac.uk.
