Graduation
If you are eligible to be invited to a graduation ceremony you will automatically receive an email from the Graduation Team about how to register and what to expect on the day. This will usually be approx. 12 – 13 weeks before the ceremonies are due to take place.
Merging legacy City and St George's resources
As we bring together resources for Clerkenwell & Moorgate (legacy City) and Tooting (legacy St George’s) students, some content may be specific to one campus and not the other. For the most relevant information, try using specific keywords or exploring content related to your department. If you need help, our support teams are available to guide you.
Clerkenwell & Moorgate students can use Support@City
Tooting students can contact studentlifecentre@sgul.ac.uk.

Ticketing, gown hire and guest access
City St George’s, University of London use Ede and Ravenscroft’s ticketing website for graduation registration. Whilst registering, you can also book guest tickets and hire your gown. Guest tickets include entrance to your ceremony, and a drinks reception.
There will be a limit on the number of guest tickets students can book in the first instance. Please refer to your graduation invitation email for specific details.
City St George’s graduation ceremonies will take place at the Barbican.
On the day of the ceremony, graduates should check-in at the ticket collection desk (box office) two hours prior to their ceremony start, to allow sufficient time for ticket collection, robing and photography.
Each ceremony will last approximately 90 minutes and will be followed by a drinks reception for all graduates and guests in the Barbican foyer (just outside the graduation hall).
When registering, please advise us if you or any of your guests have any access requirements so that we can make appropriate arrangements to ensure that the ceremonies remain accessible to all.
Terms and Conditions
Read the terms and conditions for participation in the graduation ceremony. Due to the formality of this event, there are a number of terms and conditions which we need attendees (and their guests) to read and agree to.
For the July 2026 Graduation, the booking system will open in late-March 2026 and invitations to register will be issued by email.
Please see our campus-specific webpages for further details:
Clerkenwell and Moorgate
Please book your graduation place even if you have not yet received your results.
The majority of students are invited to Graduation before they are awarded. If you do not achieve your award in time, you will automatically be refunded the full amount for any tickets and gown hire, and invited to the next set of ceremonies (if applicable).
