City St George’s Student Health and Wellbeing services have launched the CityWellbeing app for both students and staff!

At City St George's, we have a range of services that can support you to manage your wellbeing whilst studying. From student counselling services to neurodiversity and emotional support, you can get help when you need it the most.

To make it easier for you to access these services and help you build healthier habits, the University has launched the CityWellbeing app.

It puts everything you need to take care of your wellbeing in one place. With the CityWellbeing app you can:

  • Join challenges with other students
  • Chat with your personal wellness coach
  • Track the healthy habits you are working on each day
  • Access self-help tools and podcasts

How to use the app?

Download CityWellbeing through iOS or Google Play and it will ask you to complete a short questionnaire to see your wellbeing score. If your score is between 20 and 27, it suggests that you’re doing OK but can take certain steps to improve your wellbeing. It will then ask you some questions about your school, course you study, how long is it and whether you’re a home or international student, to make a personalised experience for you.

The app’s chatbot Charley can create a self-care plan for you and you can opt-in for everyday check-ins to teach you simple wellbeing techniques.

You can also keep a journal in the app. All you need to do is pick an emoji that describes how you feel today and write down what’s on your mind.

You’ll also find an ‘Explore’ feature packed with tools that can not only help you boost your wellbeing, but also improve your productivity.

You can use a built-in Pomodoro timer that’s great for studying and can help you to stay focussed while revising for the upcoming exams!

Finally, the CityWellbeing app can help you build sustainable tiny habits. Whether you want to keep learning every day, stay active, be more social or practice mindfulness, with the CityWellbeing app you can stay accountable and keep track of your progress.
