    Make Your Mark - Arts and Crafts Session (Moorgate)

    This arts and crafts session, hosted by the communities team, will encourage students to tap into their creative sides as they have the opportunity to create a small trinket to decorate their homes during their time at City St. George's.
    The environment of the session will be relaxed and low intensity, allowing students to chat with one another, make friends and build community.

    Craft activities include:

    Tote bag painting
    Lego kit building (small flowers and animals)
    Sunglasses decorating
    Friendship bracelet making
    Tile painting

    Activity Details

    Big Hello from Student Support Services. Join teams from City, the Students' Union and external providers to find out how they can support your learning, health, wellbeing, career and more. This is an opportunity for students to come and meet the teams, play some games, get some freebies and make friends! A quiet hour will run from 11am-12pm. Please drop by anytime from 11am to 2pm.

    As the beginning of Black Futures Month happens to fall on the Thursday of Welcome Week, we've decided to make the most of it and mark the beginning of the month with a screening of a short film.
    Snacks will be served with an opportunity for students to mingle before and after the screening.

    School of Science and Technology Meet and Greet

    Activity details

    This event is intended to welcome new students and help them become familiar with the school while building early connections with their peers. It will include a mix of activities such as games, sports, video games, and crafts to encourage interaction and engagement. A welcome speech will be delivered by the School Dean to introduce key information about the school. Food and refreshments may also be available, subject to final arrangements.

    Representational sports team trials will take place between 28th September - 11th October. Visit the team stalls at Welcome Fair to book onto your chosen team trial or visit Club Sport to book your place.
    Please note - Booking onto a trial is essential. No walk ins will be able to trial for teams What's On.

    Join us between 28th September - 11th October for our GetActive Taster sessions. This is your opportunity to try out all of our GetActive sessions for FREE! Come on your own, or bring a friend from your course and trial the many sports we have on offer this year!

    Please note - Booking is essential. We anticipate these sessions to get fully booked, so these will be offered on a first come, first served basis.

    All equipment is provided - Just wear comfortable clothing, non marking trainers and remember to bring water if needed

    An opportunity for new autistic students to learn about life at City St George’s and to meet the Disability & Neurodiversity team. The event will include a quiet tour of the Northampton Square campus including the library, lunch and refreshments, and plenty of time to socialise and connect with fellow incoming students.

    Activity Details

    CitySport are excited to welcome new and returning students to experience an action-packed day. Entry will be free, activities taking place on the day will include badminton, pickleball and basketball in the sportshall. A chance to experience our newly refurbished state of the art gym including brand new Hyrox functional area. Tours will be happening throughout the day every 30 minutes. There will be lots of freebies to pick up on the day.
