June is Pride Month, a time to celebrate the strength, love, and resilience of LGBTQI+ communities around the world. It is a powerful reminder of how far we have come and a call to keep pushing forward together for a future where everyone can live with pride, dignity and equality.
A wide range of parades and events happen during Pride, with something for everyone to be part of. City St George’s is hosting a Pride event on Thursday 3 July, and there are many more activities taking place across London and the UK in the coming weeks. What’s happening at City St George’s?
Join students, staff and the University’s Office for Institutional Equity and Inclusion this July for a special event celebrating Pride Month under the theme of The Fabric of Freedom, a call to action for LGBTQI+ people and allies to come together, reflect on unity and celebrate the community.

Time: 1pm - 3.30pm
Location: Clerkenwell (E102, Student Support Hub, Drysdale Building) & Tooting (room TBC), and online
Organised in collaboration between the School of Health and Medical Sciences, the Office for Institutional Equity and Inclusion, the Students' Union, and the LGBTQIA+ Staff Network, this event will feature diverse voices and celebration. Expect thoughtful conversation, community connection, and moments of joy as we mark Pride Month together.

Road to Pride: LGBTQ+ Open Mic
London Metropolitan University is hosting an open-mic night to celebrate Pride, honour the past and look towards a brighter future.

LGBTQIA+ Tours at Tate Britain
These tours will explore the Tate Collection through the lens of gender identity and sexuality. Tours meet at the top of the Rotunda Stairs at Tate Britain.

A Queer History of London – The LGBTQI+ Walking Tour
Hear stories about London’s gay history, celebrating the people and places that made the progress of the last 50 years possible.
Date: Sunday 31 May, Wednesday 4 June and Sunday 8 June
Time: 11am - 1pm (31 May and 8 June), 2 - 4pm (4 June)

Pride Month at Seven Dials Playhouse
Seven Dials Playhouse is hosting its first ever Pride Season, with a host of shows led by LGBTQI+ artists throughout June.

Price: Prices vary from show to show but expect to pay between £9.50 to £15 for a show.
Grab yourself a deck chair and join the Big Sapphic Beach Pop-Up at South Bank for the ultimate summer escape in the Capital.

An official Pride after-party hosted by Mint, renowned for organising popular LGTBQI+ events in London.

Student groups
There is a group for everyone which provides an inclusive space for members to make friends and represent the views and interests of LGBTQI+ students at City St George’s.
- Students at Clerkenwell & Moorgate campuses can join the Students’ Union’s LGBTQ+ society.
- If you’re in Bayes, you can also join their equivalent society, Out at Bayes, as well.
- Students based at Tooting campus can join Pride Society.

Browse City St George’s LGBTQI+ themed collection of e-books and audiobooks – which can be read or listened to on your device by downloading the Libby app, or directly via your browser – and our LGBTQI+-themed playlist of films and TV programmes available through Box of Broadcasts.
Discover LGBTQI+ book displays in the Law Library, Northampton Square Library, Clerkenwell campus and the Learning Resource Centre at Bunhill Row, Moorgate campus.
