The University and Students’ Union are running a variety of events and activities to help you look after your wellbeing during the month of May, which coincides with the busy assessment period.

May can feel overwhelming, with coursework deadlines, revision and exams all happening at once. It’s also Mental Health Awareness Month, with Mental Health Awareness Week taking place from Monday 5 – Sunday 12 May.

Students’ Union (SU) events and initiatives

Self Care Fair, Tuesday 6 May, 10am-4pm (The Pavilion, University Building, Clerkenwell Campus)

At the SU’s Self Care Fair, a range of local businesses and wellbeing brands will be offering advice, free samples, and products to help you take care of yourself during the exam period.

The Study Well campaign is running throughout May to help you manage stress during the assessment period. This includes events journalling sessions, Tote Bag designing and Mental Health and Wellbeing Day (see below). GetActive, the SU’s low-cost social sport sessions are taking place all month long. These are friendly, low-commitment activities that help you stay active and meet new students. There are also new women-only sessions, including netball and rounders, thanks to your feedback.

Join the University and SU for a relaxing and creative Mental Health and Wellbeing Day on Monday 13 May. Drop in anytime to take part in:

  • Knitting & crochet
  • Paint a plant pot
  • Mindful colouring
  • Breathing & meditation cards
  • Gratitude wall & affirmation station

There’ll be plenty of free mental health resources to take away. Whether you’re looking to relax, reflect, or just take a short break, everyone is welcome. Find out more.

It’s so important to look after your health and wellbeing all-year round. At City St George’s there are a number of resources available to support you.
